In the role of Vehicle Checker/Store Security, you will be responsible for safeguarding company property, ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and visitors, and contributing to a secure and welcoming work environment.

You will maintain the security of the site by monitoring activity within the yard, checking customer’s vehicles and tickets and looking out for suspicious behaviour.

Duties to include:

• Entry point security for detection of shoplifters and identifying suspicious activity.

• Co-ordination of delivery vehicles in/out of the site.

• Ensure that all buildings and premises are secure as per company policies and procedures.

• Maintain control of free flow of traffic throughout yard and gate area including supervision of customer parking.

• Checking customer vehicles and their receipts against purchases when leaving the premises.

• Checking of company vehicles and delivery notes against goods when leaving the premises.

• Carry out random staff searches as and when required by management.

• Carry out regular security patrols on perimeter fences, yard and internal trading area.

• Security of sites main keys for various departments.

• Maintenance of Company security daily occurrence log.

• Produce reports and statements as and when required.

You will be working closely with staff and customers so excellent interpersonal, tact and diplomacy skills are essential. A good knowledge of timber and building materials is preferred.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 07:30am to 17:00pm with a one hour break for lunch.

​

Salary - £28,164.72 per annum
