Digital Marketing & Performance Specialist
Chichester | Full-Time | 40hpw
We are seeking a commercially driven Digital Marketing & Performance Specialist to take ownership of paid search, SEO, email/CRM lifecycle, and digital channel performance across our ecommerce platforms.

This is a hands-on, performance-focused role responsible for driving traffic, customer acquisition, and revenue growth while improving attribution clarity and return on investment.

Key Responsibilities
​
Paid Search & Digital Advertising
-
Plan, manage, and optimise paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Shopping, Performance Max).

Oversee paid social and display campaigns where appropriate.
-
Manage budgets effectively to deliver agreed ROAS and CPA targets.
-
Conduct keyword research, bid optimisation, and audience targeting.
-
Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategy accordingly.
-
Produce clear monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
SEO Performance
-
Own the organic search strategy across all ecommerce sites.
-
Conduct keyword research aligned to product range and customer intent.
-
Work closely with the Product Data & Merchandising Manager to optimise product and category content.

Identify and resolve technical SEO issues in collaboration with developers.
-
Monitor rankings, traffic trends, and organic conversion performance.
Email & CRM Lifecycle
-
Manage email marketing campaigns including promotional sends and automated journeys.
-
Develop lifecycle strategies to improve retention and repeat purchase.
-
Build segmentation strategies for trade vs retail customers.
-
Optimise open rates, click-through rates, and revenue per send.
-
Support customer re-engagement and abandoned basket programmes.
Channel ROI & Attribution

Monitor performance across all acquisition channels.
-
Improve visibility of channel attribution and customer acquisition cost.
-
Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce to ensure marketing investment aligns with commercial targets.

Identify opportunities to reduce cost per acquisition and improve lifetime value.
Customer Acquisition Strategy

Develop and execute acquisition strategies aligned with revenue growth targets.
-
Identify opportunities in emerging channels or new campaign formats.
-
Support seasonal and promotional campaigns in collaboration with Trading & Operations.
-
Ensure landing pages and campaign journeys are conversion-optimised.
Reporting & Insight
-
Produce weekly and monthly performance dashboards.
-
Translate data into clear commercial recommendations.
-
Support budgeting and forecasting for marketing spend.
-
Track customer behaviour trends and highlight growth opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
-
Proven experience managing paid search campaigns (Google Ads essential).
-
Strong understanding of SEO principles (technical and on-page).
-
Experience managing email marketing platforms and lifecycle campaigns.
-
Confident using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4, reporting dashboards).
-
Commercially aware with experience managing digital budgets.
-
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capability.
-
Experience within ecommerce, B2B marketing, builders’ merchants, construction, or physical product environments is advantageous.
