HR Assistant - apprentice

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Apprentice to join our HR team. This role is perfect for someone starting their Administration or HR career who wants hands‑on experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, and general HR administration. You’ll work closely with experienced HR professionals while completing a recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities

HR Administration — Maintain employee records, update HR systems, prepare letters and documentation, and support day‑to‑day HR queries.

Recruitment Support — Assist with job adverts, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

Onboarding & Offboarding — Help organise induction plans, prepare new starter paperwork, and support exit processes.

Training & Development — Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and help maintain learning records.

Employee Engagement — Support wellbeing initiatives, staff events, and internal communications.

Policy & Compliance — Ensure HR processes follow company policies and legal requirement

During this 16 month apprenticeship you will learn and gain an insight into all areas of a HR and Training Department. The successful applicant will also undertake a Level 3 in Business Administration whilst undertaking their normal duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to pursue a career in Human Resources, Training or Administration.
This is a government funded apprenticeship scheme and therefore attracts an apprenticeship rate of pay.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday from 08.00am to 17.00pm with a one hour break for lunch and Friday from 08.00am to 16.00pm with a one hour break for lunch .
Salary - £20,000
