We are looking for a Chain of Custody Administrator to support the Timber Director. Chain of Custody allows the customer to know that the products they buy are ecologically sourced and manufactured in sustainable ways. You will be required to monitor the compliance of all existing and proposed suppliers across the Company. Products include hardwoods, softwoods, sheet materials, and all manufactured products with timber components.

You will also be required to

· Design & Implement the UKTR register (UK Timber Regulation) and database for all suppliers of timber derived products

· Manage the company’s Chain of Custody system by auditing all depots on a quarterly basis and carry out the necessary training.

· To work with our external Chain of Custody consultant preparing and submitting figures for our annual audit checks by TRADA and to ensure compliance.

· Regularly report matters of concern regarding compliance to Chain of Custody to the Timber Director.

· Monitor the CITES list (Control of International Trade in Endangered Species) for new entries and report them to the Timber Director for inclusion within the Company Policy Statement which names the timbers we do not wish to trade in.

· To assist all depots with their timber requirements.

This is a part time role of 20 hours per week. Please note that there is flexibility with regards to the working pattern.

This is largely an administrative role so previous office experience is essential. Applicants must be an advanced Microsoft Word and Excel user. The application of rules and knowledge of timber is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Applicants must also be professional, able to communicate at all levels and able to work well as part of a team. As this role with include travel to other Covers branches applicants must have a full driving licence.
