We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Accountant on a full-time basis. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 08.30am to 17.00pm with a one hour break for lunch.

 

Duties to include:

  • Expense and Mileage analysis

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, where necessary speak to Credit Control/depots to resolve any outstanding items

  • Mobile phone invoice analysis – Liaise with IT to ensure that all phones are attributed to the correct user. Code monthly invoice to allocate correct cost to each department.

  • Raise sundry invoices as and when required, chase any outstanding payments.

  • Invoice Coding – Provide the appropriate account code for any invoice which purchase ledger team are unable to code.

  • Assist with the P11D process.

  • Bank Reconciliations.

  • Monitor rebates payable throughout the year and raise credits at the end of the year.

  • Provide cover for the office cashier.

  • Send out paying in books to depots and order new books from the bank.

  • Supporting the other assistant accountants with daily and weekly tasks.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Office intermediate/advanced Excel user

  • Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role preferable but not essential. Study support is available subject to a training agreement.

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Ability to work as part of team

  • We have also adopted a hybrid model for homeworking and after initial training this can be discussed and agreed if appropriate.
