Alongside this, our wooden flooring showroom provides a space to explore options in more detail. These facilities allow us to maintain quality, flexibility, and consistency across our product offering.​

A vacancy exists within the Covers Group for a General Manager at our Wingham Depot. You will be responsible for all sales, customer service, merchandising & stock control and staffing. Your primary objective is to hit our Sales and Gross Profit Targets and to deliver the net profit contribution.

A good knowledge of timber products is essential along with Merchant management experience, the know-how to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service whilst motivating and managing your team.

Applicants must have the following:

​

· Previous managerial experience within a Timber and Builders Merchant.

​

· A good knowledge of timber and timber related products

​

· Be commercially aware

​

· The know-how and desire to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service

​

· Ability to delegate and to motivate a team

​

· Have excellent Communication Skills

 

Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 08:00am to 17:00pm with a one hour break for lunch and 1 in 2 Saturdays from 08:30am to 12:30pm plus additional hours as deemed necessary by the business to meet your objectives.
